Logging in with ORCiD

How to login using your ORCiD iD.

When you arrive at https://submit.bco-dmo.org/, you'll see a page like the one below directing you to log in using your ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) account.

ORCID provides a unique identifier for researchers. Many journals and funders require the use of an ORCID iD, so you may already have one. It's also possible your institution may have registered you already, too. If you don't have an ORCID iD or don't know what it is, search for yourself at https://orcid.org/.

After clicking the "Sign in with ORCID" button, you'll see the following screen:

From here, you can choose whichever log-in option you prefer. Note: if you sign in with email, this needs to be the email address associated with your ORCID. For more information, see "Different ways to sign into ORCID".

Once you're signed in, you'll see a dashboard similar to this:

Under "Your Datasets", you'll see any datasets previously submitted to BCO-DMO on which you're a contributor. If you're a contributor on any projects, you'll see them listed under "Your Projects". (Note that the datasets and projects displayed here are only those which were submitted using the Submission Tool. Datasets and projects submitted by email in the past are not shown here.)

  • The "Submit a new dataset" button will bring you the dataset submission form.

  • The "Register a new project" button will bring you to the project registration form.

  • The question mark in the upper right will display helpful tips.

  • "Contact Us" will give you information on when and how to contact BCO-DMO.

  • If you click on your name in the upper right, you'll be able to go to your ORCID record or log out from the Submission Tool.
